Serving: 4 stick
Don’t you get bored with the lack of varieties in sandwiches. It’s either ham and cheese or tuna and mayo. Not much diversity in them unless you change the format, hence Focacsia, Wrap and so on.
What if you could taste every type of sandwiches in one go. Impossible? Not when it’s on a stick.
Ingredients:
Anything that tickle you fancy .. But lets start with one of my favourites.
1 x Kransky Sausage (either boil or pan fried it beforehand)1 x Cucumber
5 x Cheery Tomatoes
2-3 x Button Mushroom (L)
4 x Bamboo Stick
1-2 x White Bread
Sauce
Mustard Mai
(mix and mix)
3 Tbs Mayo (97% low fat would go a long way)
1 Tbs Seeded Mustard (you can get them at the Mart)
¼ Tbs Olive Oil
Seasoning
Guacamole
(squash and mix)
1 x Avocado (Soft and Ripe)
1 x Lemon
Parsley
Seasoning
Steps:
Prepare all the kebab ingredients.
1. Slice the pre-cooked sausage into 12 even slices (if possible, roughly ½ cm thick)
2. Slice Cucumber into similar thickness.
3. Cut the mushroom into quarters
4. Halved the cheery tomatoes.
5. Cut the bread into small squares (standard size bread, 3 row by 3 column = 9 pieces)
6. Now the fun part, putting them together.
7. Add some cheese above and place them in the oven or under a grill till the bread is crispy and brown.
8. Brush the bread pieces with some olive oil and serve.
You should have enough to make 4 complete “Wich” stick. The sequence depends on you. GET CREATIVE!
Just keep in mind … bread, ingredient, ingredient, ingredient .. Repeat. Don’t go over board because you probably can’t fit it all in one bite.
Find the sauces guide on a later post. Getting late… ZzzZzz
COST
Well i think there is no cost for this .. Hahaha .. approximately Aud$5-7 for 4-5 sticks.
I would say it makes a great gathering finger food or bbq-replacement.
